Hi there!

My name is Charlotte, and I am a tutor for Maths and Science (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) up to GCSE level.

My teaching approach is centred around building my student’s confidence. Having struggled with low self-esteem in school, I know how daunting it can be to ask for help. Many students find the school environment difficult and struggle to engage. This can majorly impact learning and prevent students from reaching their potential. That’s why I aim to create a stress-free, alternative learning environment for my students.

I provide a supportive space where my students feel comfortable to ask questions, and have the freedom to make mistakes without judgement.

My Experience

The educational system tends to prioritise achieving a specific grade, which can deprive students of the enjoyment of learning. As I have personally experienced the struggles that come with lacking confidence in school, I understand the importance of encouraging a growth mindset in my students; to embrace challenges and learn from their mistakes.

I believe that confidence comes from not only understanding the subject matter but also from being able to articulate and express concepts clearly. That’s why I also focus on developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills, which are essential for success both in and outside the classroom.

My ultimate aim is to build a foundation of confidence and self belief in my students, providing you with the essential skills to excel. I take a personalised approach to each student, getting to know their strengths, weaknesses, and learning style. Combining this with regular one to one support, together we will develop a tailored learning program to suit your needs. We’ll work together to develop your confidence and skills, which will equip you to succeed not only in your studies but also in your personal and professional endeavors.
